This paper presents experimental research to determine the influence of cutting parameters on surface roughness when fine milling of spiral bevel gear. Three parameters of the cutting parameters investigated in this study include cutting velocity, feed rate and depth of cut. The test material used in this study is 20XM steel. The cutting tool used in this study is a hard alloy coated with CVD Ti (C, N)-Al2O3-TiN. The testing process were carried out with 15 tests in the form of Box-Behnken planning. The results of analysis of testing data have determined that the cutting velocity is the parameter that has the most influence on the surface roughness of teeth, followed by the influence of the feed rate. The depth of cut has a negligible influence on the surface roughness of teeth. The interaction influence of the parameters on teeth surface roughness was also discussed in this study. This study has also proposed a surface roughness model - using this model to predict surface roughness and proposing development directions for further studies
The rapid development of information communication and technology (ICT) affects both urban and rural communities. Information obtained because of accessing the internet can encourage people to work outside of the village. Migration of people from the village will lead to reduced rural development and agricultural land management services. This study aims to determine the effect of the Internet of Things in terms of usage of the intentions of young people migrating abroad. Data analysis methods used are descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Model (SEM) – Partial Leas Square (PLS). Analysis results show that there is a link between internet infrastructure and international migration intentions for young people. Based on the results of the SEM-PLS test using the Warp-PLS application, it is known that the IoT influence variable consisting of variables A (INFRA), B (USE) and C (CONTENT). It is mean that IoT has an impact on the youth migration intention abroad in rural areas with an R-Squared influence value of 0.47 percent
Tourism in Maluku is a challenge for the region due to geographical conditions as an archipelago. This affects the choice of visitors or tourists who want to travel to Maluku. This study aimed to examine and explain the influence of visitor attitudes towards the word of mouse, visitor attitudes and word of mouse towards the image of tourist destinations, as well as visitor attitudes and word of mouse towards visiting intentions. Destination image of visiting intentions, visiting intentions of tourist destination visitor’s behavior, and socioeconomic status moderates the image of tourist destinations influence on visiting intentions. Meanwhile, socioeconomic status moderates the intention of visiting influence on visitor behavior on Maluku tourist destinations. Determination of the sample used purposive random sampling with a sample of 207 respondents, and the sampling technique was accidental. The data processing used XLSTAT PLS-PM 2013 software. The study results prove that visitors' attitude is able to increase the interaction of word of mouse to share information on tourist destinations. The attitude of visitors can improve the image of the destination. Word of mouse interaction to share and search for information can improve the destination image. Attitude can improve the image of the destination. Word of mouse interaction to share information does not affect the visiting intention. Destination image can increase visiting intentions. Visiting intention can improve visitor behavior. The socioeconomic status that moderates the image of the tourist destination influences the visiting intention. The socioeconomic status that moderates the visiting intention influences behavior. Further research is suggested to examine the local cultural variables that characterize an area with socio-demographics as moderation variables
Climate change is a factor of surface waters quality deterioration, thus limiting their suitability for agriculture. The study devoted to the evaluation of the waters of the Kakhovka reservoir and irrigation system revealed that climate change resulted in changes in the water quality, namely, the content of total dissolved solids (TDS) in the Kakhovka reservoir water increased from 0.30 g L-1 in 1938 to 0.43 g L-1 in 2018. At the same time, the increase in average air temperature in the growing season led to the increase of the temperatures from 15.9ºC in 1938 to 20.5ºC in 2018. We found out that the increase of air temperature by 1.0ºC leads to the increase in TDS by 0.03 g L-1. Also, there was a tendency to the increase in alkalinity of the waters in the Kakhovka water from 7.60 pH units in 1960 to 8.05 pH units in 2018. The index in the regulated canals of the irrigation system increased to 8.30-8.50 pH units. The content of soda reaches its critical values at high pH – 0.24-0.30 meq L-1 Therefore, the water from the Kakhovka reservoir and irrigation system is limited suitable for irrigation, requiring taking steps for it amelioration and continuous monitoring of the irrigated lands to prevent their degradation
The aim of this study was to determine the BCF and the TF value of heavy metals in Oligochaeta. This study obtained data on heavy metal Cu and Cd pollution that affect soil quality and the potential of Oligochaeta L. terrestris and Pheretrima sp as bioremidiator for Cu and Cd in Jatibarang Landfill. The research method used is field experiment. Samples were then prepared for heavy metal analysis using the ICP MS. The BCF and TF value were calculated using formulas; the BCF value was calculated as the content of heavy metals in oligochaeta divided by the concentration of heavy metals in soil. This study measures and analyzes the concentration of two types of heavy metals, Cooper (Cu) and Cadmium (Cd) from 2 Oligochaeta species in Jatibarang Landfill Semarang Indonesia. The BCF value is the concentration ratio of heavy metals concentration in the organs of the esophagus or the dermis with heavy metals concentration in the soil) and the TF value is the ratio of heavy metals concentration in the dermis and esophagus) Cu on Lumbricus terrestris (3.596 ppm) is higher than Pheretrima sp (1,333 ppm), as well as Cd concentration in L. terestris (0.239 ppm) is higher than Pheretrima sp (0.079 ppm). Based on this research, the BCF and TF value for heavy metals in L. terrestris and Pheretrima sp were > 1 that means that those species are bioaccumulators. The results of the analysis of Cd in soil show the concentration of Cd in soil at site 5 exceeds the limit of the concentration of available metals. The TF values for Cu and Cd the dermis of Pheretrima sp were 0.663-2.072 and 0.185-1.668, and in the esophagus were 0-45.824 and 0-13.5 respectively. The TF values for Cu and Cd in the dermis of L. terestris were 0.103-12.568 and 0-0.598, and in the esophagus 0.355-16.758 and 0-1.307 respectively. The heavy metals from soil were absorbed, transported and accumulate in dermis and esophagus, therefore, L. terestris and Pheretrima sp are good bioremediator particularly Cu and Cd that can be apllied to remediate soil contamination with heavy metals
