Technology Reports of Kansai University (ISSN: 04532198) is a monthly peer-reviewed and open-access international Journal. It was first built in 1959 and officially in 1975 till now by kansai university, japan. The journal covers all sort of engineering topic, mathematics and physics. Technology Reports of Kansai University (TRKU) was closed access journal until 2017. After that TRKU became open access journal. TRKU is a scopus indexed journal and directly run by faculty of engineering, kansai university.

Indonesia is the number two coconut producing country in the world with one of its products is nata de coco which is processed from coconut water with a fermentation process. Nata de coco is a source of biocellulose that can be made as raw material for advanced sound dampening material. The purpose of this study was to determine the drying process of biocellulose nata de coco for potential applications of sound dampening and analyzing cellulose fibers formed by testing the moisture content and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). In the drying process is carried out at a temperature (95 -100) oC. During the first 10 minutes of drying, it appears that the forgotten water vapor from nata de coco is very much almost ± (30-40) % of the total water content which is free water content. This is because the free water content contained in the nata de coco sample is still large and easily released while in the final stages of drying the evaporated water content requires a long time because it is bound water. Drying is done until getting a constant mass. In this study the value of the balanced water content (Me) uses the Henderson equation and from the calculation the value is 16.430828706902. In the drying results, it is found that drying which produces biocellulose nata de coco which has a little water content, the potential for fungus growth is getting smaller and from the appearance of morphological biocellulose can be used as a sound dampening material because it has pores and indentations to hold the sound energy that comes so that the potential for dampening applications sound
Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) Regency which has a large area potential is located in the South Sumatra Province of Indonesia. PALI Regional Development needs to be supported by the development of road networks to increase regional accessibility, especially for potential areas. The calculation of accessibility in Indonesia is unique considering that some of the roads on the road network have unfavorable conditions, so in the accessibility calculation is necessary enter the length and condition of the road. In this study the accessibility calculation was based on regional connectivity and analyzed the effect of distance and road conditions in the accessibility calculation. The Roadroid tool was used in identifying the condition of the road network in PALI Regency. The results showed that the length and condition of the road significantly affect the ranking of regional accessibility when compared to the ranking of accessibility which is calculated only based on connectivity between regions. The regional accessibility ranking calculated based on road connectivity and length has a ranking match with the regional accessibility ranking based on connectivity, length and road conditions, but there is a difference in the ranking of accessibility on roads that have a large percentage for poor road conditions. Including the road length and road conditions in the ranking of regional accessibility in Indonesia is important to get an actual ranking of regional accessibility
Listeria monocytogenes is a foodborne pathogen that cause serious illness in vulnerable individuals such as infant, pregnant woman, elderly and immunocompromised patient. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of L. monocytogenes in chicken offal samples between wet market and supermarket. A total of 498 chicken offal samples (chicken gizzard=154, heart=131, Intestines=70, liver=143) from wet markets and supermarkets in Klang Valley, Malaysia were examined using multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay and conventional plating method. Both PCR assay and plating method are equally reliable in detecting the presence of L. monocytogenes in chicken offal. The prevalence of Listeria spp. and L. monocytogenes from total samples was 7.63% and 5.62%, respectively. L. monocytogenes in chicken offal was found gizzard, liver, and heart at 3.21%, 2.00%, and 0.40%, respectively. L. monocytogenes contamination in samples from supermarkets was significantly higher than those in wet markets which might due to the pathogen psychrophilic characteristic. It can be concluded that multiplex PCR assay is a reliable method to detect L. monocytogenes in chicken offal and chilled chicken offal was at a higher risk of contamination
What is Six Sigma and how is its implementation? The studies on Six Sigma have been developing in recent decades, but the discussions on the topic are fragmented and thus challenging to understand comprehensively. This study aims at answering what Six Sigma is and how it is implemented in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing industries. To do this, we conduct a literature review on journal articles published from 2000 to 2017. Six Sigma has beena commonly used method among companies around the world for increasing product quality and operating profit. It is not only used in the manufacturing industry but also in non-manufacturing industries. The finding shows that Six Sigma is a method used to minimize the number of defect products and increase customer satisfaction as well as profit. In its development, Six Sigma is also used as a statistical tool, a managerial philosophy, and a business culture. Although it can be seen from various perspectives, the core of Six Sigma lies in its method, which is based on the scientific approach for developing efficiency and increasing operating profit. In general, the studies on Six Sigma have begun increasing since 2004. In the manufacturing sector, studies on Six Sigma are prevalent in automotive, electronic, and SME sectors and in the non-manufacturing sector, studies are common in the health and educational sectors
The purpose of this research is to identify if power-prestige, retention-time, distrust, and anxiety are variables that explain attitude towards money in 631 users of Facebook and WhatsApp. The instrument used for this purpose is an adaptation to the Mexican context of the Money Attitude Scale (MAS), designed by the seminal authors Yamauchi and Templer [36]. The MAS is composed of 29 items with a Likert scale of 7 response options where never and always are the extreme values. The analysis of the data matrix showed an internal reliability and consistency with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.831. The results suggest that attitude toward money on the part of the respondents shows a greater tendency towards the dimension of power-prestige followed by distrust when making purchases
