Title : Sabo Dam Infrastructure System Performance Index Model in Mount Merapi

Abstract :

The volcanic area is blessed with a lot of resources and cursed with eruptive disaster at the same time. Fertile land, deep forest, mining deposit, and water reserve are examples of the potential within a volcanic environment. The more productive activity is taking place, the more it risks damaged by a disaster. In 2010, Merapi, an energetic volcano in Java – Indonesia, erupted on a massive scale equal to one event in one hundred and seventy years. It was estimated up to 140 million m3 lahars produced, overwhelming installed sabo dams with only 20 million m3 in capacity. It damaged these sabo dams severely. Meanwhile, damaged sabo dams urgently needs to be either rehabilitated or reconstructed to set preparation against the next incoming eruption. This paper would focus on the estimation of functional performance given by the sabo dam at present actual condition. The aim is to create modelling framework base on structural equation modelling (SEM) and Generalized Reduced Gradient (GRG) Method. It adopts water resources principles, recent developed model, regulations and factors that influencing this purpose.  All governing factors are grouped into three major classifications, i.e. physical aspect, regulative aspect and social aspect. These three aspect are consisted of eight dimension: sabo dam components performance, riparian vegetation condition, river course condition, sand mining performance, regulation conformity, socio-culture-economic, societal-private cooperation, and disaster loss then followed by thity nine indicators. The SEM result using SmartPLS from 89 sabo dam samples shows twenty six confirmed to be valid form thirty nine indicators, which the eight dimensions and three aspect remain intact. By the satisfactory statistical value of AVE (average variance extracted) > 0,5; CR (composite reliability) > 0,8; Cronbach Alpha > 0,8 and p ≤ α 0,1these twenty six indicators are: spillway, main dam, wing, drip hole, sub dam, apron, side wall, filling, parapet, parapet frame, and dyke under sabo dam components performance; vegetation species under riparian vegetation condition; roughness, depth, and slope under river course condition; legal mining, illegal mining and actual mining under sand mining performance; technical recommendation and sand mining license, under regulation conformity; local occupation, education and inhabitant economic, under socio-culture-economic; private corporate social responsibility (CSR) under societal-private cooperation; and public facilities damage, and husbandry loss under disaster loss.

Title : Assessment Performance Degree of Modified Asphalt Binder

Abstract :

Asphalt cement is used as the main part of mixtures in pavement materials. It is necessary to know the physical and rheological properties to simulate the behavior of the asphalt binder. Rutting and pavements crack are the major distress of flexible pavement to enhance the properties of asphalt binder and to prolong the lifetime of roads must modify asphalt binder. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the physical and rheological properties where they are important parameters for predicting the efficiency of the asphalt binder. For the preparation of modified asphalt binders, asphalt (40-50) grade penetration from Daurah refinery has been used with two additives of bentonite (khawa clay) and crumb rubber; each additive has three percent (3 %, 6 %, and 9 %) of asphalt weight. To assess, the rheological properties used in numerous experiments involved the rotational viscometer (RV) at two temperatures of 135 ,165 , the dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) for the asphalt binder. The physical properties were tested via several conventional methods, such as penetration, ductility, and softening point tests. Also, a thin-film oven test to study the aging of original and modified asphalt pavement. The optimum content of the modifiers was 6% crumb rubber and 9% bentonite. From the result can conclude that the addition of bentonite and crumb rubber enhance asphalt properties such as increase the viscosity, ductility, and softening point, decrease penetration Compared to original asphalt, based on the results of rheological tests, the performance grade (PG) of original asphalt binder was PG64-16, and the performance degree for Bentonite modified Asphalt binder was PD70-16 and crumb rubber modified Asphalt binder was PD76-16.

Title : The Potential of Durian Seed Flour as an Alternative Source of Carbohydrate for Diabetes Mellitus Sufferers

Abstract :

Durian seed flour is a source of carbohydrates that has the potential to be used to meet the carbohydrate needs of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DMT-2) sufferers, but before it is used to fulfill carbohydrate needs in diabetes sufferers, an in vivo test is needed to identify the glycemic index (GI) of the flour. This study aims to determine the glycemic index of durian seed flour given orally to Sprague Dawley rats. This research was arranged in 2 steps, namely the manufacture of durian seeds flour and the glycemic index test with 5 repetitions with time variations 0; 30; 60; and 120 minutes at 3 days intervals using a glucometer. Rats were grouped into 3 groups each consisting of 2 rats. Flour was suspended in 0.1% sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (Na-CMC) at a dose of 0.5625 g, positive control was 1.125 g of glucose that given in an oral way. Data in the form of test animal blood glucose levels versus time were analyzed into the Area Under Curve (AUC) glucose levels versus AUC. GI calculations were carried out by comparing the AUC of durian seed flour to glucose AUC. The results of the research and calculations carried out obtained the GI of durian seed flour of 10.90 with low criteria category. With this GI value, it can be stated that durian seed flour has the potential as a source of carbohydrates for DMT-2 sufferers.

Title : Moluccans Philosophy of Peace of Ale Rasa - Beta Rasa (I Feel What You Feel) (A Moluccans Socio-Epistemological Perspective)

Abstract :

Local wisdom Ale Rasa-Beta Rasa (I feel what you feel) is a type of indigenous solidarity and inner ideas. Ale Rasa-Beta Rasa contains Moluccans authentic and natural philosophy of peace which can be found among the cosmological wealth of Orang Basudara (Moluccans brotherhood). This social epistemology study aimed to discover the intrinsic and fundamental philosophy notion of peace in local wisdom Ale Rasa-Beta Rasa as well as to reveal legitimacy epistemology, axiology, and typology of in Passo and Batumerah. The research findings indicate that the social ratio of Ale Rasa-Beta Rasa between Passo and Batumerah has pervaded their moral, soul, and life ethos from generation to generation. As a result, the society members who live in the two areas share love and feelings with each other, either in good or bad conditions. The social ratio of Ale Rasa-Beta Rasa contains a noble mission to always promote peace in the attitude, conduct, or true character of Orang Basudara. It can be concluded that Ale Rasa-Beta Rasa constitutes a philosophy of peace which also serves as a new alternative to build up peace in the society, nation, or even the world.

Title : Marketing Model For Creative Industry “Batik” Market Oriented In The Industrial Era 4.0 (Case Study Batik Creative Industry Center, Sragen, Indonesia)

Abstract :

For the creative industry market, the industrial era 4.0  enters new challenges, including the batik industry that experiences significant competition, not only between local and national industries, but also competition from various multinational industries. This research aims to design and figure out a valid marketing model for batik products according to market desires and the goodness of fit model, so that the batik produced still exists, saleable in the market and increases the marketing performance. The research was conducted in batik industrial centers throughout Sragen Indonesia with a population of batik entrepreneurs and consumers as users of Sragen's batik products. Methods of data collection are carried out through interviews, questionnaires, observation, documentation and literature study. This research found a model of research & development (R & D) using the object of batik entrepreneurs through quantitative methods of experimental type one group pretest post-test design. Data analysis used structural equation analysis with structural equation modeling (SEM). The developed marketing model is a model of causality, correlation and influence to test hypotheses, identify the dimensions of a construct that is able to measure the influence between the identified factors in its dimensions.
