Technology Reports of Kansai University (ISSN: 04532198) is a monthly peer-reviewed and open-access international Journal. It was first built in 1959 and officially in 1975 till now by kansai university, japan. The journal covers all sort of engineering topic, mathematics and physics. Technology Reports of Kansai University (TRKU) was closed access journal until 2017. After that TRKU became open access journal. TRKU is a scopus indexed journal and directly run by faculty of engineering, kansai university.

The automatic face recognition system has become one of the most important functions in the field of computer vision. The systems of recognition have attracted great attention in terms of different applications in human life. Facial recognition based on automatic methods to determine the identity of individuals by different changes of the face, as indicated in the database [ORL]. In this article, we compare two techniques for measuring the classification rate. The first one is based on the extraction of key points by both methods (PCA-SIFT and SURF), then the association by the RANSAC algorithm, finally we determine face authentication based on distance measurement (Euclidean and Manhattan). The second one is based on the extraction of local features by three local binary patches (TPLBP) and then classification by support vector machine (SVM). Simulation results show that the second technique gives a good result reaching 98% and increases the recognition rate by 1.468%
The major problem facing the power industry today is reliability of power supply. The task of power system protection is to provide adequate protection for the network. However, faults do occur in a power system and there is need to isolate the faulty equipment or section from the healthy part of the system faster. This paper provides the design and implementation of the protection of a disturbed electric network using a solid state relays for enhancement of power system protection. The design and implementation was done in four stages; power supply unit, voltage sensing unit, current sensing unit, and the switching. The result shows that the relay with the help of opto-coupler, constantly monitor the parameter, overload voltage and overcurrent that are to be controlled and if it exceeds the percentage range set by the operational amplifiers then it sends a signal to the switching circuit to break the connection and isolate the faulty part at a minimal delay time. The implementation of relay thus, enables better time response for protection
The purpose of the research is to produce the item bank to measure polytechnics students’ performance in Mathematics algebra topic. Computerized Adaptive Test, an adaptive mode of testing that has the features to measure the performance of test takers based on their ability level. Computerized Adaptive Test has the ability to precisely target test item difficulty to estimate test-taker ability. However, computerized test can only be realized if item bank that contains sets of questions with different difficulty levels is developed. In order to produce the item bank, this study uses a combination of linking and equating of 36 sets of test related to Mathematics Algebra. All 36 sets of test are administered to a sample of 1,464 students from 4 polytechnics in northern Peninsular Malaysia. The findings of this research show that the item banks are credible and reliable. Using Rasch model and item-response-theory, this research proves that the items can be used for item bank designed for Computerized Adaptive Testing
This paper presents the effect of grinding parameters on surface roughness of workpiece’s surface when dry cylindrical grinding X12M steel using CBN grinding wheel. The factor selected as the criterion for evaluating the grinding process is the surface roughness of the workpiece. The CBN grinding wheel, 1A1-400D-45T-2X-75HSL100N100BI, was used in this study. Three grinding parameters mentioned in this study include feed rate, velocity of workpiece and depth of cut. The experiment was conducted with fifteen experiments according to the Box-Behken matrix. The influence of the each parameter and influence of the interaction between the grinding parameters on surface roughness was also analyzed in this study. This study has also built a regression model on the relationship between surface roughness and the grinding parameters with the correlation coefficient R2 = 0.9805. This is the basis for selecting and controlling the value of the grinding parameters in order to obtain the surface roughness according to specific requirements
We used the spectrum analyzer with logarithmic – periodic antenna and we adjusted the parameters of spectrum shown in the section of appendix. The purpose of the measurements is to detect whether there are cellular mobile antennas in the particular Park that is of interest to the health due to this point have everyday a lot of children. The frequencies we analyzed were GSM-1800 and GSM-900. The specific frequencies were measured, analyzed in four points of interest and in three directions for finding signals of the mobile antennas in the broader area. Cellular mobile antenna signals were detected in specific areas calculated and analyzed the summary of the electromagnetic field strength
