Title : DETECTION OF VOLTAGE SAG DURING HIGH FAULT RESISTANCE IN ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION NETWORK USING WAVELET TRANSFORM

Abstract :

Electricity can be described as flow of electric power or electric charge. Consumer will receive alternating current (AC) from power station, boosted by transformer to step up or step down, and distributed miles away to different location all over the world. To maintain electricity in stable condition, protection system must be clear with any faults. The protection system function as keeping the power system maintain in stable condition by isolating the components that under faults and leaving as much of network as possible in operation. Thus. This paper presents the events detection focusing on voltage sag and current swell during high fault resistance. The method is developed by applying time domain signal analysis using wavelet transform approach in MATLAB. This project analyzed real interrupted signal obtained from 11 KV distribution network in PSCAD software, comprise actual data form modelling of transmission line from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) distribution network. The signal will be decomposed through the wavelet mother. The lowers percentage different will prove the best detection event

Title : Fuzzy Logic Approach for Learning Styles Detection in E-Learning Based on Student Performance Information

Abstract :

Learning styles can be referred to the ways an individual gathers, processes, and organizes information. Several students prefer learning by doing and practicing, seeing and listening, memorizing and describing, or reasoning logically and intuitively. Learning style has an effect on the learning process and learners’ achievement. The collaborative way to identify learning styles is through a questionnaire or survey. Despite being reliable, these instruments have several shortcomings that hinder the learning style identification such as students are unmotivated to fill out a questionnaire and reluctant to provide information. Thus, to solve these problems, researchers have proposed several approaches to automatically detect learning styles. This paper identifies Felder-Silverman learning style model as a suitable model for learning style detection and proposes to use fuzzy rules to handle the uncertainty in the learning style detection. The evaluation has used the trapezoidal and triangular membership functions based fuzzy logic for 25 students and compared to their results from the Index of Learning Styles questionnaire. The proposed fuzzy inference system obtained 38% similar classification compared to Felder-Silverman learning styles

Title : An Investigation of Influence of Design Parameters on the Partial Gear Ratios

Abstract :

This paper aims to investigate influence of design parameters on partial gear ratios of a coxial helical gearbox. In order to minimize the direct material cost of gearbox, a cost function has been derived with ten design parameters and subjected to partial gear ratio or the second-stage gear ratio (u2). Thus, the change of the second-stage gear ratio impacts on the minimal direct material cost of gearbox. Therefore, this study has been done to figure out the relation between the second-stage gear ratio and nine other independent design parameters. The central composite design method has been used for planning experimental simulations in which each parameter has three values at low, middle and high levels. Results show that almost design parameters and their interactions have strong influence on the response such as total ratio gearbox ratio (ug), price per kilogram of gear material (Cg.m), price per kilogram of shaft material (Cs.m,), allowable contact stress of stage 2 (AS2) and (Cg.m* Cs.m). The contributions of the coefficient of wheel face width of stage 1 (Xba1, Xba2) and their interactions with other factors on the response are negligible. In addition, a regression model of u2 has been developed with high confidence to be further applied in reality

Title : A Prediction to Potential Improvement in Reducing N1 Vehicles Accident Fatality Rate in Malaysia

Abstract :

The number of commercial vehicles in Malaysia are growing rapidly following the growth of logistic industry and the rapid urbanization in this country. This can cause a rise to the commercial vehicles market and the economy of Malaysia, but the statistics of road accident fatalities involving commercial vehicles is worrying to the road environment and all road users. The Binary Logistic Regression analysis is done to identify the factors that affect the severity of accident which are fatal or non-fatal, and develop a prediction model for future potential improvement. The result showed that Airbags, Vehicle Structure and Speeding are significant in affecting the accident severity of N1 category vehicles accident. This study also found that Airbags itself are negatively affect accident severity, while Speeding is the most contributing factor since the beta value is the highest compared to other variables

Title : Evaluation of E-Service Quality Towards The Application of QR codes For Mobile Payment Transactions and Financial Management

Abstract :

QR-Code technology is the most popular mobile payment method in recent years, especially in Indonesia. Start-up technology such as Dana, OVO, Link-Aja, and other unicorn using QR-Code to support mobile payment services. This research used the e-service quality model to evaluate the Application of QR codes For Mobile Payment Transactions and Financial Management. We had distributed a questionnaire from October to December in 2019, total we distributed 207 questionnaires with random sample and got 144 valid data. We process data using statistic methods are SEM-PLS used SmartPLS application. The result of our research shows that efficiency and reliability, Fulfillment, Security/Trust, Responsive/ Contact, Site Aesthetics, and ease of use indicator influence Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use and QR-code Uses controls by Perceived Usefulness and Ease of Use factors.
