Title : DETERMINATION POSITION AND DISTANCE OF STORE BASED ON WIFI USING K-NEAREST NEIGHBOR AND FLOYD WARSHALL ALGORITHM

Abstract :

The application of Global Positioning System (GPS) technology has been applied by many companies and organizations, such as transportation, logistics, retail, security and others. GPS technology could be in the form of an Indoor Positioning System (IPS), where IPS is a positioning system for finding objects in one room such as in a building or shopping center. This research was conducted in one of the largest shopping centers in Jakarta (AG Mall) by adopting application of IPS using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm and the Floyd Warshall algorithm. Testing process of the use of the Floyd Warshall algorithm is to determine the shortest distance at the user's signal point with the aim of comparing the shortest route. KNN algorithm calculates the position of the user or visitor with the wifi mall area point as the coordinates of the signal location from IPS to the destination. The conclusion from the research is that the success rate in detecting the user's location is 73%, the success rate in displaying data and a brief description of the store is 100%, while the success rate in displaying the route is 83%. IPS technology reads based on wifi or access points at each point of objects or shops that have previously been mapped based on wifi areas
