Technology Reports of Kansai University (ISSN: 04532198) is a monthly peer-reviewed and open-access international Journal. It was first built in 1959 and officially in 1975 till now by kansai university, japan. The journal covers all sort of engineering topic, mathematics and physics. Technology Reports of Kansai University (TRKU) was closed access journal until 2017. After that TRKU became open access journal. TRKU is a scopus indexed journal and directly run by faculty of engineering, kansai university.

Inserting the shoot-through duty cycle within the inverter switching pattern is the most important process in controlling the Z-Source Inverter (ZSI) output voltage because it has many limitation and boundaries in the values and the manner of producing. This paper presents a comprehensive study of switching techniques and switching patterns of the ZSI. The most important switching techniques of the Z-source are presented in this paper to overview the features and characteristics of these techniques presented in the literature. Many simple and complex methods are reviewed in this paper as a comparison study, considering the controlling of the ZSI and reduce the effect of the voltage stress on the switching devices
The great advancement in digital applications has led designers to be able to control industrial processes using the programmable logic controller (PLC). This research employs PLC controller to drive two induction motors in three synchronized forms though AC drive supplied from single phase supply. The forms are, master-slave operating with same speed or different speeds and when the second motor runs at preset ratio of the first machine. Theoretical implementation is driven through Matlab/Simulink with a known parameters 3-ph induction motor while the hardware implementation is driven using PLC controller and unknown 3-ph induction motor parameters. The control drive has been tested under different operating conditions, and its reliability has been proven though practical results
